The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position

This is a temporary position until January of 2019. The HR Generalist provides support and coordination to the Human Resources Manager in all areas. In particular, the Coordinator oversees administration of benefits, supports health and safety initiatives for the facility, and assists with recruiting and performance management. The Coordinator manages the personnel files and the on and off boarding of employees. Maintains confidentiality in all matters.

Main responsibilities

•Oversees administration of all benefits, including invoices, enrollments, terminations, and answers questions as needed.
•Coordinates annual open enrollment for benefits.
•Familiarity with handing BWC claims
•Provides support for recruiting, including:
• Writes and updates job descriptions
• Posts vacant positions on various websites
• Reviews resumes
• Schedules interviews
• Oversees background checks
• May conduct reference checks
•Oversees and coordinates all aspects of onboarding and off boarding of employees and collaborates with necessary staff on this process.
•Assists the Director with tracking of all HR information.
•Assists the Director with reports and presentations.
•Ensures personnel files are kept up to date.
•Maintains confidentiality in all work.
•Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications requises et exigences

•Bachelor’s degree, in HR or related field.
•Two or three years of experience in Human Resources Coordinator role with experience in benefits administration, health and safety, recruiting, and employee relations.
•Expertise in Windows computing environment and of Microsoft Office suite
•Experience with HRIS systems
•Excellent collaboration and project management skills.
•Customer service focus is essential
•Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take initiative and ownership for a wide range of responsibilities.
