The facility, which is Michigan-based, is a vertically integrated manufacturer with a growing portfolio of company-designed products. It designs and manufactures custom ball screws from a variety of materials and also designs, manufactures, assembles and tests electromechanical actuators.

Summary of position

The Mill Hand runs production cycles to meet production expectations. This job description indicates the general nature and level of the work that is expected. Main responsibilities

• Clean and lubricate equipment.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
• Mark or tag identification on parts.
• Observe equipment operations so malfunctions can be detected, and notify production leader of any malfunctions.
• Monitor machine cycles to detect jamming and to ensure product conforms to specifications.
• Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Runs production cycles to move product through the department on schedule.

Qualifications requises et exigences

• Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, right angle trig, and their applications.

• Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
