The facility, which is Michigan-based, is a vertically integrated manufacturer with a growing portfolio of company-designed products. It designs and manufactures custom ball screws from a variety of materials and also designs, manufactures, assembles and tests electromechanical actuators.
Responsibilities associated with this position are typically performed in an industrial or manufacturing setting and requires appropriate personal protective wear and consistent observance of established safety policies at all times. Summary of position
The Business Development Manager works with the Director of Sales/Program Management to identify and secure new business opportunities for Beaver Aerospace and Defense division.
The job responsibilities include promoting and representing the company, business opportunities prospection, commercial offer preparation, contract negotiation, contractual requirement revision and communication to the team.
The Business Development Manager is responsible to manage the customer relationship throughout all of the marketing, proposal, contract negotiations and pre-production phases. New business opportunities included design programs; build to print opportunities, after-market support, repair and overhaul. The Business Development Manager entertains the business relationship and negotiates contract amendments.
-Primarily responsible for business development within the designated markets of Beaver.
-Prepare commercial offer in response to RFP, present to management for approval and present proposals to customer.
-Act as the customer main point of contact for all designated programs and coordinate with the Program Manager all necessary action to build and maintain a positive business relationship.
-Answer customer requests and manage problems in a timely manner.
-Communicate contractual information to Héroux-Devtek’s different sites and teams as required.
-Support Program Manager to effectively administrate the contract.
-Monitor proposal status and communicate results to management.
-Manage all contractual documents that supports the business relationship.
-Analyze contract to ensure conformity to governmental specification and specific regulations such as FARS, DFARS, ITAR.
Qualifications requises et exigences-Bachelor in engineering, business or other pertinent field.
-Experience in the aerospace industry, in engineering or fabrication projects.
-Sales or procurement experience; experience in establishing win-win business relationships.
-Effective time management and priorities setting.
-Available for business travels, participation to conference & trade shows.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
