Job description and general duties

Under the supervision of a team leader of the ramp agents. The incumbent of this position acts as ramp agent. It performs the work of the officers on the ramp and provides a safe, professional, courteous and polite experience for passengers and crew members.

Description of the main tasks:

  • Welcome passengers and crew members in a professional, courteous and respectful manner
  • Ensure at all times the application of safety rules on the ramp and in the hangar
  • Prepare aircrafts for flights and customer acceptance
  • Aircraft marshalling
  • Aircraft towing
  • Aircraft fueling
  • Provide passenger/crew transportation if needed
  • Other related tasks

Job qualifications and basic requirements

Your skills:

  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
  • Hold a valid driver's licence (class 5)
  • Hold "D" Airside vehicle operator's permit (AVOP), or be ready to obtain (asset)
  • Eligible for a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC);
  • Bilingual (spoken French and English);
  • Aviation experience (asset)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Have the ability to work in different weather conditions (hot and cold)
  • Be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs)
