Production Team Leader – second shift
Montreal
As Production Team Leader, you will lead all aspects of manufacturing activity within the area of responsibility, with full accountability for ensuring that agreed current and future customer quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements are met for the designated commodity throughout the product life cycle.
You will also ensure all activities required to satisfy Gates 1 and 3 are completed as per schedule in line with the required level of quality. This includes the engine receipt, strip, inspection and rebuild.
Additionally, you will manage the activity in the Balancing department.

Key Accountabilities:
Deliver products/services committed to the customers at the right time, cost, quality and responsiveness to support their plans
Ensure compliance to Company Health, Safety and Environment policy
Understand the technical and legislative elements associated with their area of responsibility
Utilize the standard tools, Key Performance Indicators and processes to ensure that committed goals and improvements are achieved including budgetary accountability. (Quality Management System, Rolls Royce Production System, etc.)
Ensure that the staff are appropriately trained / supervised to carry out their roles effectively and are developed for future requirements using the company standard processes and tools (Professional Development Frameworks, MyLearning etc.)
Create the environment for continuous improvement & Employee engagement with the emphasis on sharing and searching for best practice with other areas and other internal and external networks
This role will cover the second shift (3pm-11pm)

Basic Qualifications:
Bilingual French / English (written and spoken)
Supervisory experience, preferably within a unionized environment.
In lieu of degree 9+ years of experience in Aerospace Industry
Must be Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
Has Company-wide outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
Understanding or knowledge of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Planning & Control demonstrating breadth of experience and implementing (at pace) change that affects people
Has a proven track record delivering improved manufacturing performance in both favourable and unfavourable conditions; utilizing cross-functional teams
Has led transformation projects and is familiar with continuous improvement methodologies such as six sigma and lean (Green/Black belt accreditation would be beneficial)
Ideally, but not essential, management experience in a high technology engineering industry
Attended higher education and leadership development programmes
RRPS Leadership Accreditation (expected in the first 12 month)
Ideally led teams in a manufacturing environment. (Man. Eng., Operations, Supply Chain Planning & Control)
