The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position

Reporting to the Cell Leader, the CNC machinist is responsible of producing high quality parts in a safe, productive and efficient manner. The Machinist is responsible for all operations performed on the assigned work station, including work set-up, tooling, operations, and completion of required documentation.
This is a 3 shift rotation position. Applicants must be able to rotate.
Starting wage is $27.05/hr

Main responsibilities

•Operates Machine Control functions which includes pull and send programs; tool change; trouble shooting; entering tool and D-Comp offsets; M.D.I.
•Understand setup sheets, tool lists and Operational Detail Sheets
•Calculates Work Offsets/Indicating
•Ensures Preventive maintenance activities
•Proceeds to Pre-start up inspections which incorporate Health & Safety awareness

Job qualifications and basic requirements

•Grade 12 / High school completion or equivalent.
•Certificate apprenticeship/ Red seal certification or equivalent experience
•“5” years of experience operating a CNC lathe and/or milling machines.
•Knowledge of standard shop safety practices
•Ability to interact with co working in a productive and positive manner
